Every year during the last weekend of November, my hometown of Trinitapoli in Puglia celebrates its rich harvest with the iconic Festa del Carciofo—the festival dedicated to the local artichokes. On Sunday, November 29, 2026, Casa Parente is bringing this tradition to Utrecht for the first Artichoke Festival in the Netherlands! At the exact same time as the festival takes place in Trinitapoli, we will be celebrating right here in Utrecht, creating a direct bridge between my roots in Puglia and our community at Casa Parente.
Join us in the shop to sample our full line of artisanal Puglian artichoke specialties and enjoy a taste of delicious artichoke-based recipes. You can join the fun by tasting the creations, or step into the spotlight as a participant in CarcioChef (Artichoke Chef)!

How It Works: Register below by Nov 20th. Drop by Casa Parente during the week before the festival to collect a complimentary jar of our artichoke products to use as the base for your recipe. Cook your cold dish and bring it to the shop on Sunday, Nov 29th. Detailed instructions will be sent to registered participants.

The Jury: While everyone visiting the festival will have the chance to taste the submissions, the winner will be evaluated and decided by an independent jury of local food experts.

Prizes: 1st Place wins a €100 Casa Parente Gift Voucher. All participants receive a Puglian Thank-You Box.
